Eternally Refreshing.

Isn't this awesome and cool? I thought it was. :D
How often do we rely on material things to help us through life, to enjoy life?   In today's society we are told if we had this , this and this, and always did this. We'll be happy, we'll be refreshed.    And you know that's wrong.  Without Jesus we'd have nothing. We'd be nothing. We wouldn't BE at all.   I know Jesus is my Saviour, I know when things seem dark and I feel like I can't do this. That He will help me through.   He loves me and He loves you too.      Jesus Christ, is all that matters in life.  He is our living water. Don't forget that.

Optical Illusions. Part One: Jesus.

#1.   Truly this artist was gifted!!!! To be able to draw a landscape and portrait in the same picture. Very clever. Don't you think?

#2.This optical illusion is very cool. Concentrate your eyesight on it , stare at it for about 20 seconds and then glance at the wall.   * Isn't that marvelous!!!!

#3.   This one is very beautiful I think.  In fact in this post it is my favorite.  Jesus has a soft face and looks at me lovingly, and I look and I see even more. Literally.

 * #2. You should see Jesus' face.

Which is your favorite?

"Hold on to my Cross"

In this day and age there are so many things we  are told are important: money, jobs, power and that they will bring us happiness. And if we are sad or discontent  we must search for something else to have or get.   We see the effects of  people who follow this creed, this way of life.
People who have money , positions of power and the ability to help others using all these blessing for their own selfish gain and always wanting more never being content.
Always searching , and trying everything to fill the hole in their hearts but, they find nothing.  For these things are temporary THINGS they cannot bring us full contentment.
And when we are blessed to have numerous blessings that can help others we MUST be thinking "I have so much! What can I give/do/etc. to make help someone's life get better? To give them a sense of worth."                            But, then we are told that 'Every one must stand on their own feet.'  ' Everyone has to do it themselves'   'Why should you give them help? What have they done for you' 'Why would you want to do that' 'What will people say.'
And all these negatives comments fill us with unsureness  in our future and in what we should be doing with all these blessings of ours, material  and immaterial.
And the truth is we must often just follow our gut instinct, trust our feelings , listen to our heart and most importantly , to hold on to the Cross. "Cause in the end that's all that matters. For without the sacrifice that Jesus made for  us we would have : Nothing.

Hold on to the Cross. At times its gonna be tough, our hands may slip, our hearts may falter and we may question and even doubt. But, Jesus remains the same.   "Hold on to my Cross" He says " I'll help you carry your burdens, trials and troubles. I love you."

Miracles, they happen.

In this day and age we are given the view that we can do things on our own.
That we don't need anyone else, that through ourselves we can achieve everything.

But, that's not true we all need someone to rely on, someone to hold and help us in times of trial, someone who understands what we're going through.
Now the obvious person to have is Jesus but Jesus works through others so by having someone , our mum , best friend spouse even.

We allow God to work in our life. We sometimes find ourselves in situations where we feel like its the end of the world and there is nothing left for us.
Its at times like this that we need to remember that miracles DO happen.

Miracles.          I suppose some people view them as old fashioned , 0ld wives tales, things of the past. That's not so. They have been blinded by the world, the greed, corruption.
Something that spoils their view of love and joy. Which is what miracles are.

Something wonderful, that is the result of love . Love which results in joy and thanksgiving.

Please pray for a miracle for Emily , who is suffering from leukemia with no response to chemotherapy .
Please pray that a miracle happens for her.    Here is a little  music video about miracles happening .   One of my all time favourites.

Please pray for Emily.   Go to her blog and tell her your praying for her.

On Temples.......

Today I was reading one of my favourite blogs and the author, Christa had linked too and shared  parts of an interesting article on teenager girls, modesty and such.
It was very interesting as I've said.  And it got me thinking  about how important  it is to dress as a Temple of The Holy Spirit.

A Temple doesn't have just a floor a roof and  walls with big gaps and an open door.  No.  It is beautiful and mysterious, graceful and sacred. A Temple.

I want to be prized as a woman of God, not a Fun House.
I want to be loved for me , not my body.   I want to be a Temple.

I hope you will too.

Challenges in daily life.

Each of us has challenges in life some bigger than others , some tiny and really insignificant but when can't deny what they are challenges.
Each day these challenges change, some days my biggest challenge is to get out of that heavenly , cloud like thing known commonly as "bed."  I then spend the rest of the day feeling like I won't accomplish anything today.  I feel sluggish and lazy. Not good!
Other days my challenge is to just be there for others regardless of what I want to do. This means helping younger siblings make their lunches, read them stories, sing them to sleep, and other big sister tasks which on days that I have a full day of this by the end of the day I feel hectic, tired and just plumb worn out. It also gets to a stage where I lose that hard to acquire virtue : patience.
My challenge on another day could be just to hold my tongue even when I feel a strong desire to speak.  Very hard to do!
Or sometimes  my challenge could be just listen to others and be a shoulder to cry and sigh on.
Challenges are God given gifts sent to strengthen us in all we do , they are mini missions  given us from "The Great General And King" to  his  secret agents below.
I  trust you will all do as I will and embrace the next  "mission" with joy and gladness knowing its a gift from the one who loves us most.
